A FEW SUGGESTED ACTIVITIES……

  1. Guided 2pm Afternoon Art Deco Walk from Napier Art Deco Trust
Napier is well-known for its art deco buildings, but not many people know the stories behind those buildings. On this comprehensive walking tour through the city’s Art Deco Quarter, hear those stories from your guide and see a different side of the buildings that surround you. New visitors can get acquainted with the city centre and find out some of its secrets. Go inside some buildings for exclusive looks at their remarkable interiors With tours held every day, you can fit this walk into any schedule Enjoy a complimentary tea or coffee at the end of your walking tour With your mobile ticket, all you have to do is show your phone to your guide

  2. 60-Minute Napier Deco City Tour by Vintage Car
An enjoyable light-hearted introduction to Art Deco Napier. This one-hour tour is a great chance to experience the splendor of travelling in a beautifully restored vintage car. Sit back and imagine you are being driven through Napier in its heyday of the 1930's, with its immaculately maintained buildings and your chauffeur dressed in their Art Deco finery. Learn about Napier's remarkable history of devastation and rebirth; the earthquake that shaped the city we live in today and the stories of the people who make it such an interesting little city to visit. Our guides are passionate about what they do and have free rein to design their own tours so that you get the very best of them. There is also limited flexibility, meaning that if you wish to visit a certain area or wish to stop somewhere to take photos then you simply ask your chauffeur. The time is yours, and should you wish to extend then that can usually be arranged.

  3. Scenic Te Mata Peak Tour by Supertrike
Our most popular tour. This scenic tour will take you out of Napier following the coastline before heading inland to follow the beautiful Tukituki River with stunning views across the valley and the Havelock North hills to Te Mata Peak. You will then cross the river, heading past Craggy Range winery and into Havelock North before starting the exhilarating climb, almost 400m, to the top of the Peak with spectacular, 360-degree panoramic views of Hawkes Bay and on a clear day as far as the volcanic Ruapehu! Climbing a mountain on a V8 trike can be an experience to remember, great for celebrating birthdays or that special occasion.

  4. Napier E - Bike Hire
Ride a bike through Napier's historic downtown, off-road cycling trails, and country roads with a rental that includes everything you need for a ½ day of exploring. You will be fitted by a team of bike mechanics, then set out with a map of the best places to explore in Napier and Hawkes Bay. Favourite stops include area wineries, scenic wetlands, Napier foreshore bike trail, with 124 miles (200 km.) of flat, off-road bike paths for a leisurely ride.
